Human and Institutional Capacity Development PLUS

Project Dates: September 2011 - September 2015
Institutions in Georgia need strategic support if they are to play an important role in implementing the government’s reform program.

The government of Georgia recognizes the need to improve its key institutions and continue reforms, as important organizational and administrative systems are often underdeveloped and hinder the country’s growth. The USAID Human and Institutional Capacity Development PLUS (HICD PLUS) project strengthened institutions that play a significant role in implementing the government’s reforms, increasing government transparency, improving health-care access and education, alleviating poverty, and promoting judicial independence. The project provided these institutions with capacity building services, such as expert consultation, assistance with organizational development, and performance assessments.
