Chemonics UK awarded a place on all seven High Value Lots of the Global Development Delivery Framework

| 2 Minute Read

The UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) operates the Global Development Delivery (GDD) Framework as a procurement vehicle for international development services across seven technical fields.

Chemonics UK is delighted to have been selected among the group of suppliers for the FCDO’s GDD Framework. As a prime supplier on all seven High Value Lots, Chemonics UK now has ample opportunities to engage with partners across seven technical fields – climate and nature, health and humanitarian, education and GESI, economic growth and trade, finance and investment, research, and conflict and governance.

The GDD Framework has a £3 billion ceiling, which the FCDO and other UK government departments will utilise to access advice, expertise, and delivery capacity from known high-quality programme implementers, until at least 2025.

Chemonics has an established track record of managing more than 150 frameworks, with Chemonics UK being a lead supplier on the Integrated Security Fund (ISF) and the Global Evaluation and Monitoring Framework Agreement (GEMFA). Chemonics UK values international development frameworks and the collaborative opportunities they present in working with partners. The GDD Framework consortium Chemonics UK has built is composed of accomplished development organisations across the UK and globally.

To celebrate this achievement and to bring together all its partners, Chemonics UK hosted a hybrid event at its London office on 21 February 2024. There were over 30 attendees representing over 18 of Chemonics UK’s GDD Framework partners who attended the event in person, with an additional 17 attendees joining online.

Lisa Ruch, Chemonics UK’s Business Development Director, said:

“Being selected as one of the prime suppliers on all seven High Value Lots of the Global Development Delivery Framework is a testament to Chemonics UK’s unwavering commitment to excellence in international development. This achievement not only solidifies our position as a trusted partner to the UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, but also opens up a myriad of opportunities for impactful collaboration across diverse technical fields. We are thrilled to embark on this journey of collective impact with our esteemed partners, as we continue to drive positive change on a global scale.”

Action Aid UK, Chemonics UK’s GDD Framework partner on Lots 1 (Climate and Nature), 2 (Health and Humanitarian) and 3 (Education, Gender and Social Inclusion), said:

“The ActionAid Federation is proud to be partnering with Chemonics on the delivery of FCDO’s Global Development Delivery (GDD) framework. This framework will enable the FCDO to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of UK-funded development programmes worldwide – and therefore will contribute to creating lasting positive change in the areas that need it most. ActionAid looks forward to working alongside Chemonics and other consortium partners to ensure that this change not only reaches women and girls in some of the most marginalised communities, but that they are at the forefront of driving change.

With a shared commitment to fostering locally-led sustainable development, human rights, and social justice, we look forward to working together with Chemonics and other consortium partners to amplify our impact on global challenges. We are excited to be a part of Chemonics’ consortia, which bring together diverse and complementary organisations – all of which are leading specialists in their respective fields.”
