Environmentally sound activity design and management mitigate potential negative environmental impacts and preserve project goals. Chemonics-implemented projects comply with environmental laws and regulations in the host and donor countries and also apply international best practices to improve outcomes and sustainability. We identify and assess potential environmental impacts and climate risks through environmental assessments, mitigation and monitoring plans, climate risk management plans, water quality surveillance plans, and responsible pesticide use plans. Our projects then adopt appropriate measures to mitigate or eliminate negative impacts, enhance project performance, and deliver environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient development assistance.
