Headshot of Anna SlotherChemonics is proud to announce that Anna Slother has been promoted to President of Chemonics’ U.S. Government (USG) Operations, overseeing a portfolio devoted to the company’s U.S. Government-funded development projects. In this new role, Anna will oversee more than 5,000 employees around the globe, managing more than 100 projects in 96 countries across 15 technical sectors in global development, including USAID’s largest-ever contract the Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project.

“I am excited to have Anna at the helm in this new role. She guided the growth of nearly 50 percent of our U.S. Government business over the past 5 years, making her the right person to serve as President of our largest portfolio,” says Chemonics President and CEO Jamey Butcher, who will continue to oversee all of Chemonics’ business lines (Chemonics U.S., Chemonics U.K., and Connexi), as well as the company’s investment and growth strategies. “This unification of our technical portfolio is a tremendous opportunity for us to integrate teams who serve the same client in an effort to increase collaboration and efficiency in the way we serve our projects, partners, and staff.”

Anna began her career at Chemonics in 1998, joined the leadership team in 2011, and has served as Executive Vice President for the last 4 years, overseeing a diverse portfolio of more than $575 million in USAID-funded programs and serving on Chemonics’ Board of Directors. She has also led Chemonics’ Supply Chain Solutions Division, Human Resources Division, and Central and Eastern Europe Region as senior vice president. Anna has extensive experience leading crisis response teams, having supported efforts related to Ukraine, Afghanistan, Sudan, and the global COVID-19 response; spearheading change management efforts, such as overseeing the five-year initiative to consolidate Chemonics’ corporate headquarters in Washington, D.C.; promoting staff engagement and inclusion by serving as the executive sponsor of ChemONYX, an employee resource group dedicated to cultivating Black leaders at Chemonics and within the international development sector; and structuring talent management programs to promote greater equity and inclusion.

“My goal is that our support of projects, sharing of knowledge and impact, and pursuit of new business will become more effective and efficient as we continue to align staff and processes to optimize sustainable results and impact,” says Anna. “Our teams are excited by the opportunity to collaborate in new and different ways, across countries and sectors, to best serve our U.S. Government clients.”
