Advancing disability inclusion requires a commitment to equality and ensuring that people with disabilities play an active role in contributing to the development of their countries. The perspectives and the inclusion of persons with disabilities — as well as organizations representing persons with disabilities — are key for effective and sustainable programming. We develop programs that recognize the diversity that exists among persons with disabilities. We also recognize that needs will be different based on the type of disability a person has, and we recognize the intersection with other factors such as gender identity, access to education, and income level. Chemonics operates a disability inclusion working group that drives innovative solutions to increase inclusion of persons with disabilities. Chemonics is a proud member of Mobility Internationals’ Excellence in Development and Disability Inclusion (EDDI) community of practice.
