Chemonics advances disability inclusion by ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal opportunities to participate fully and meaningfully in community development. We elevate perspectives of individuals of all ability types. We recognize that the intersection of disability with other identity factors such as sex, age, ethnicity, or socio-economic status can create overlapping barriers and constraints to inclusive outcomes for persons with disabilities. Chemonics’ systems and practices are designed intentionally to include diverse abilities that enable representation in decision-making, program design, implementation, and resource allocation. Chemonics operates a disability inclusion technical working group that drives innovative solutions to increase inclusion of persons with disabilities.
