News: Chemonics Proud to Sponsor Devex Campaign for Women and Girls

| < 1 Minute Read

Beginning March 8, in honor of International Women’s Day, Devex, Chemonics, and other sponsors launch the She Builds campaign, a global month-long conversation about women and girls as agents of change in global development.

Chemonics is eager to join the UK Department for International Development (DFID), JBS International, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and Creative Associates as a sponsor of the Devex She Builds Campaign, launching March 8.

Throughout the month, Devex will lead a multifaceted conversation centered on four large themes: She Builds Economies, She Builds Communities, She Builds Innovations, and She Builds the Future.

The campaign will include testimonials, videos, interactive content, and, perhaps most importantly, thought-provoking ideas to change the conversation around women and girls from recipient to actor. She Builds will highlight the many ways in which women and girls are agents of change and a positive force for global development.

“We are excited to join Devex for the She Builds campaign,” said Chemonics President and CEO Susi Mudge. “Women and men play critical yet different roles in promoting development. Research has consistently proven that including women in program activities ensures we can make long-term and sustainable headway in ending extreme poverty, building community resilience, and promoting healthy lives. At the end of the day, empowering women is critical to ensuring truly transformational change.”

The campaign launches March 8 with an interactive micro-site, innovative resources, and opportunities to engage with industry thought leaders worldwide. Leveraging online content and social media, She Builds will shine a spotlight on the ways in which women and girls build communities, economic growth, innovation, and a hopeful future.
