The USAID Read with Me Project (RWM) improved reading outcomes for students in grades 1 through 4 in more than 75 percent of schools across Tajikistan. This report details major achievements and lessons learned by the project over its five-year implementation period.
From 2016 to 2021, The USAID Read with Me Project (RWM) improved reading outcomes in Tajikistan by increasing the availability of reading materials in 80% of Tajik schools, training 75% of primary school reading teachers in modern training techniques, leveraging $2 Million in funds to support literacy activities through innovation and partnerships, and increased government support to improve reading through targeted mentoring and coaching. This final report summarizes the achievements and outcomes of the activity.
