News: Chemonics Submits New Communication on Progress to UN Global Compact

The report details the company's progress integrating sustainable, ethical practices across its operations from January 2021 to January 2022.
The UNGC is a “voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles.” The compact aims to build momentum among participating companies and stakeholders to foster a more sustainable, equitable world. The UNGC calls on members to align their operations with the United Nations’ 10 universally accepted environmental, human rights, labor, and anti-corruption principles.

Chemonics’ latest UNGC Communication on Progress outlines how the company upholds its values in its work culture. It covers Chemonics’ work in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion, including listing among Disability:IN’s “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” and the Human Rights Campaign’s “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality”. From mobilizing staff to help clean Washington, D.C.’s Anacostia River to auditing the company’s environmental footprint, the report also highlights strides in Chemonics’ corporate environmental sustainability.
