In the Philippines, HRH2030 supported the Philippines Department of Health (DOH) to strengthen recruitment, deployment, development, retention, and performance management of the health workforce.
From 2017 through 2020, the HRH2030 Philippines activity worked with the DOH to improve access to quality tuberculosis, family planning, and maternal and child health services for vulnerable populations. HRH2030’s research and assessments provided evidence to assist the DOH and local governments to develop HRH policies strategies to increase access to quality health services.HRH2030 also supported the DOH in advancing universal health coverage (UHC) through the development of a National HRH Master Plan.
The HRH2030 Philippines Final Report details the program’s interventions and achievements, and includes conclusions and lessons learned that will be useful for further advancing UHC in the Philippines.
