Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Katy Gorentz

Katy Gorentz is a senior monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialist in Chemonics’ Global Health Division, where she provides cross-cutting M&E, research, and learning technical assistance to global health projects and programs. Her expertise includes collaborative and adaptive M&E as well as developing and applying evidence-based approaches to promote data use for decision making. She previously led the monitoring and evaluation design and implementation of the USAID Human Resources for Health in 2030 Program (HRH2030), working across the program’s activities in more than 30 countries to design innovative M&E strategies and award-winning Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) approaches. Before joining Chemonics, she supported research projects including a study on reproductive health in Internally Displaced People (IDP) camps in Somalia and research on the availability of mental health services for refugees in the United States. She holds a B.A. in anthropology and an MPH in global health design, monitoring, and evaluation.
