Chief of Party, Lebanon Enterprise Development Project Douglas Griffith
Douglas Griffith is the chief of party of the Lebanon Enterprise Development Project. His areas of expertise include enterprise development, industry competitiveness, value-chain strengthening, institutional strengthening, and policy reform. Previously, he was chief of party of the Uganda Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Agriculture Activity, which focused on improving economic governance related to agro-inputs and extension services, as well as strengthening institutional capacity of organizations involved in coffee, maize, and beans. Douglas also served as chief of party of the Moldova Competitiveness Enhancement and Enterprise Development projects and as a director in Chemonics’ Europe and Eurasia region. He has designed competitiveness initiatives in Armenia, Kosovo, and Romania and conducted agribusiness assessments in Albania, Central Asia, Kosovo, Romania, and South Africa. Prior to joining Chemonics, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger focused on food security. He earned an M.B.A. and an M.A. in international development from American University in Washington, D.C., and a B.S. in environmental management from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.
