Senior Advisor, the Agriculture and Food Security Practice Catherine Maldonado
Catherine (Kate) Maldonado is the Senior Advisor for the Agriculture and Food Security Practice.
With 20 years of experience in international programs, Kate has designed and implemented agriculture, resilience, nutrition, and food security programs in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Kate served as the Chief of Staff to the USAID Bureau for Resilience and Food Security Assistant to the Administrator where she helped to advance Agency priorities in resilience, agriculture, food security, nutrition, and water, sanitation and hygiene with more than $1.4 billion of annual programming in 30 countries. Using the latest data and evidence, she has led teams to develop food security strategies and response efforts to global and country level shocks. Kate holds a B.A. in Political Science and an MSc. in International Public Health Nutrition.
