News: Chemonics Accelerates Global Health Supply Chain Excellence at GHSCS
November 27, 2018 | 2 Minute ReadFrom November 28 to 30, Chemonics will join the Global Health Supply Chain Summit (GHSCS), which will convene practitioners and experts from around the world to explore better supply chain system design, innovative financing, new technologies, and more.
The Global Health Supply Chain Summit (GHSCS) brings together academics, country planners, NGOs, logistics practitioners, pharmaceutical companies, and donor representatives to discuss emerging trends and tools in global health supply chains. Hosted in Lusaka, Zambia, from November 28 to 30, this year’s summit will focus on accelerating global health supply chain excellence.
Chemonics’ heath supply chain experts are excited to contribute to this important dialogue around better supply chain system design, data visibility for decision-making, deployment of new technologies, and integrated information systems. We will have multiple representatives from our Supply Chain Solutions division, the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project, and the USAID Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) – Technical Assistance (TA) Francophone Task Order.
From supply chain optimization and scaling up vaccine logistics management information systems to temperature and humidity monitoring and our in-house Transportation Management Tool (TransIT), we will lead 12 presentations that dive into challenging aspects of supply chain management and innovative solutions. Learn more about our presentations at GHSCS and our work in the supply chain sector here.
To supplement these engaging presentations, we are hosting a cocktail reception and interactive event on November 29. Join us for insightful conversations around innovative partnerships and technologies and the common challenges experienced by supply chain logisticians in resource-limited settings.
“Chemonics is linking the industry’s best data, people, systems, and innovative approaches to ensure an uninterrupted supply of lifesaving health commodities worldwide,” said Mauricio Gutierrez, senior vice president of Chemonics’ Supply Chain Solutions Division. “The Global Health Supply Chain Summit is a fantastic opportunity to share tools and lessons learned from our work providing end-to-end supply chain management solutions, while forging connections with stakeholders and partners in this important sector.”
