| < 1 Minute Read
Chemonics describes its actions in 2020 to uphold human rights, protect the environment, create a supportive and equitable working environment, and prevent corruption.

Chemonics is proud to publish its third United Nations Global Compact Communication on Progress. The report shares the company’s progress integrating ethical practices across its operations and working culture between January 2020 and January 2021, and how our global projects contributed to the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) harnesses the global momentum of ethically minded companies by calling on its members to align their operations with the U.N.’s 10 universally accepted principles in human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.

“I am proud to lead an organization with a mission that not only upholds the 10 principles of the United Nations General Compact (UNGC), but also measurably contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

Jamey Butcher, President and CEO, Chemonics International

From introducing the work of the new Standing Committee on Racial Equality to discussing how the company pivoted to uphold staff and partner communities’ human rights during the COVID-19 pandemic, the report highlights how Chemonics has advanced ethics and human rights through its work and business practices.

Chemonics remains committed to communicating its progress toward the 10 principles and will report annually on its leadership, policies, and practices related to human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.
