Climate Risk Advisor, Environment and Natural Resources Practice Zachary Johnson

Zachary Johnson is a climate scientist, with expertise in climate risk, numerical climate modeling, and climate predictability. At Chemonics, Zachary has leveraged his analytical background in climate science to quantify climate risk across ecological, environmental, and socioeconomic indicators for informed decision-making. Prior to his work at Chemonics, he served as an Assistant Professor of Hydrometeorology at Central Michigan University and completed postdoctoral fellowship at Purdue University. Zachary has published work in hydroclimate physical processes, climate predictability, and tropical cyclone risk. He holds a Ph.D. in climate science at Utah State University and his bachelor’s degree in meteorology at the University of Oklahoma.
