Chief of Party Nakhat Abdulofizov

Nakhat Abdulofizov is an experienced development professional with over 30 years of practical and managerial experience in the public and private sectors. He is currently the chief of party for the USAID Learn Together Activity, Tajikistan and previously served as the deputy chief of party and regional education lead. Prior to joining Chemonics, Nakhat was the CEO of the Aga Khan Education Service Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic (AKES, Tj&K.R), a renowned international institution in the education sector. He has progressive long-term experience with this institution, building and maintaining relationships with Tajik and Kyrgyz national government officials and represented AKES among donor communities in each country. He developed partnerships with USAID, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Aga Khan Foundation, and Canadian Agency for International Development. Nakhat has also served as a short-term consultant in private schooling, education leadership and school improvement with both state and private companies. He holds M.Ed. in Teacher Education and Education Management from Aga Khan University and M.A. in Educational Research and Evaluation from University of Sussex, UK.
