Global Practice Lead, Digital Development Manisha Aryal
Manisha Aryal is a development practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in designing and implementing ICT-enabled programs globally. In her current role as the Global Practice Lead for Digital Development, she spearheads the company’s digital development strategy, providing thought leadership and hands-on support to projects and programs that innovate with technology solutions. Manisha also has expertise in media and information ecosystems and backstops Chemonics projects that build resilience against disinformation, strengthen information integrity, and support local media ecosystems. She has worked in South Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, and former Soviet countries, and her previous roles have included directing a USAID-funded multi-country human rights and media program; serving as the chief of party of a USAID/OTI media initiative in Pakistan; leading a series of USAID/OFDA-supported humanitarian information initiatives post-disaster and post-political emergencies; managing a thriving radio and television production house; and producing radio and television programs on a range of conflict stabilization, political transition and rule of law issues. Manisha has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
