Chief of Party, Feed the Future Zimbabwe Fostering Agribusiness for Resilient Markets (FARM) Kuda Ndoro

Kudakwashe (Kuda) S. Ndoro is the Chief of Party for the Feed the Future Zimbabwe Fostering Agribusiness for Resilient Markets (FARM) Activity. Before, Kuda served for ten years in project leadership roles on two complex USAID agricultural development projects, formerly as the deputy chief of party for the Zimbabwe Agricultural Incomes Employment and Development (Zim_AIED), as well as chief of party for the Feed the Future Zimbabwe Livestock Development (FTFZ-LD) program, where he had oversight on the overall implementation of the programs focusing on increasing agricultural productivity, incomes, and market participation of smallholder farmers in marginal areas of Zimbabwe including improving their hygiene, nutrition and gender status. In addition, Kuda has facilitated linkages between smallholder farmers and private sector entities including access to technology, inputs, markets, and microfinance including disbursement of USD15.3 million to farmers, agro-dealers, and processors through partner banks.

Prior to joining development, Kuda worked for Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Agriculture as a farm management specialist and had a 20-year stint as an agricultural economist at one of Zimbabwe’s largest farmers unions providing expertise in project design and implementation, economic analysis, policy research, measuring farm productivity, and advocacy on agricultural policy development regarding almost all commercially important agricultural value chains in Zimbabwe. Kuda has gained insights and experience in participating and working with WTO’s SPS Committee in Geneva, Southern African Confederation of Farmers’ Unions, and the Market Systems Symposium. Kuda holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Zimbabwe, a mini- master’s degree in leadership from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in business leadership from the University of South Africa.
