Doing Development Digitally: The Next Decade of USAID’s Digital Policy .
Event | November 21, 2024
Join Chemonics on November 21 for a hybrid conversation about what the 2024-2034 Digital Policy means for implementing partners.
What are the implications of the USAID Digital Policy for implementing partners? Can the newly refreshed Digital Principles offer guidance? How can implementing partners engage with these frameworks? Chemonics International invites you to join us from 9:00-11:-00 am ET on November 21st for a conversation with USAID and the Digital Impact Alliance, Doing Development Digitally: The Next Decade with USAID’s Digital Policy.
Register here by Monday, November 11.
In 2020, USAID rolled out its first-ever digital strategy, setting the stage for a tech-driven approach to development and humanitarian aid. The rapid shift to digital platforms following the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted both the promise and perils of our connected world – exposing deep digital divides and fueling a rise in online disinformation and cybercrime. In 2024, USAID responded with a Digital Policy for the next decade, offering an updated framework for inclusive development in today’s complex digital landscape.
For a decade, the Principles for Digital Development, stewarded by the Digital Impact Alliance, have guided the international development community to use digital technologies responsibly. After consultations with 300+ global stakeholders, the principles were refreshed earlier this year to better reflect a world where technology touches every aspect of society.
Join us for a thoughtful discussion on doing development in the digital age.
