Namibia Country Director, USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program - Procurement and Supply Management Project Ryno Badenhorst
Ryno Badenhorst is a supply chain expert with more than 30 years international experience in operational, procurement and commercial roles at executive and director level. Ryno has extensive experience in transport and supply chain modeling and has implemented many large software systems and solution specific trainings. He has successfully combined private sector commercially driven methodology with experience gained from consulting in Europe, Asia, America, Australia, and Africa within the unique challenges of operating within public sector supply chains. His commercial background supported by cost-based fundamentals delivers strategic customer focused solutions and was used in corridor development in Africa in both the road freight and railway sectors. With a keen eye for applying disruptive technologies and the use of AI in solving complex optimization algorithms and environmental challenges, he believes a learning spirit is critical to success. Ryno teaches strategic supply chain management at master’s degree level at the Namibian University of Science and Technology (NUST) on a part-time basis.
