Governance and Regulatory Lead Jurbe Godep
Jurbe Joseph Godep has more than 22 years of experience in donor-funded water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects, including 11 years in leadership positions. His technical expertise lies at the intersection of government and institutional systems strengthening, as he has worked to bring the voices and concerns of urban, small town, and rural community members into sustainable WASH sector reforms. He currently serves as the governance and regulatory lead on the Lagos Urban WASH project.
Before joining Chemonics, Jurbe served as chief of party and deputy chief of party on three large USAID-funded WASH projects in West Africa, gaining extensive experience in Integrated Water Resource Management. He has previously worked for The United Nations Human Settlement program and served as the National Program Officer for Nigeria under the Water for African Cities program. Jurbe also served as a consultant for the World Bank, French International Development Agency, the European Union Development Fund, DT Global USA, and Japan International Cooperative Agency. Jurbe holds a Ph.D. in environmental resource management.
