Deputy Chief of Party for Operations for USAID’s Strengthening Private Enterprise for the Digital Economy (SPEED) Activity Hugo Prado
Hugo Prado is a program management professional with more than 17 years of experience supporting development programs across Latin America and Asia that cover agriculture, value chain development, institutional strengthening, micro and small enterprise development, trade and competitiveness, forestry, and environmental management. He is currently the deputy chief of party for operations for USAID’s Strengthening Private Enterprise for the Digital Economy (SPEED) Activity in the Philippines, where he oversees the project’s operational, financial, and contractual aspects. His experience working both in the Washington, D.C. office and in project offices gives him a rich background that supports the efficient implementation of the program, enables effective communications with the client, and builds trust with program partners and counterparts. Hugo has a bachelor’s degree in natural resources management from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in tourism administration from George Washington University.
