Chief of Party, Uzbekistan Agribusiness Development Activity Farrukh Irnazarov

Farrukh Irnazarov is the Chief of Party for the USAID Agribusiness Development Activity. With over 15 years of experience, he has successfully led numerous initiatives in economic development, investment strategy, agribusiness, and agritourism. Before assuming his current role, Farrukh spearheaded various projects for the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, World Bank, ADB, UNDP, IOM, FCDO, focusing on private sector development, trade, transportation, labor migration, and other high-growth industries.

His extensive portfolio includes working on institutional development, facilitating business relations across the USA, Europe, and Central Asia, and advising stakeholders on critical areas like job creation, private sector growth, and community resilience. Farrukh’s distinguished academic background includes visiting scholar positions at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University, University of Applied Sciences Göttingen and National College of Ireland. His teaching experience spans leadership, communication, strategic management and navigating complex environments.

Farrukh holds two master’s degrees—one in Business Administration and Economics from Stockholm University and another in International and European Relations from Linköping University. An avid traveler and member of the Traveler’s Century Club (having visited 100+ countries), Farrukh’s global experience enriches his work in fostering economic resilience and sustainable development.
