Chanaka Wickramasuriya is the Chief of Party for the USAID Sri Lanka Energy Program, a 5-year technical assistance program that partners with government and private sector stakeholders to help Sri Lanka’s electricity sector transition to a more secure, reliable, and sustainable system.

He has a long history in private equity spanning over 15 years, investing in and managing portfolios in Sri Lanka as well as the wider region, as a partner at Aureos Capital LLC and as joint managing partner at Ironwood Capital. Chanaka was also country head of Fitch Ratings in Sri Lanka. He currently serves on several boards including Nations Trust Bank, and Global Rubber Industries Pvt Ltd, and is chair of the Lynear Unit Trust Investment Committee. He has a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering (summa cum laude) from Rutgers College of Engineering USA and is a chartered financial analyst.
