Senior Specialist, Private Sector Engagement Practice Ayla Bitmouni

Ayla Bitmouni is a development professional who brings expertise in economic development with a focus on finance and investment in emerging markets. She is currently serving as a senior specialist on the Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Practice where she leads initiatives that utilize capital from the private sector to scale development impact. Prior to joining  PSE, Ayla served in various roles in the Middle East and North Africa division at Chemonics where she supported the design and implementation of economic development programs across the region. Ayla brings expertise in promoting effective partnerships with the private sector from her experience at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Ayla holds a master’s degree in international development with a concentration in global economy from Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in international relations from the University of California, Los Angeles.
