Chief of Party, USAID’s Building Regional Economic Bridges (BREB) Danilo Cruz-DePaula
Danilo “Dan” Cruz-DePaula is the Chief of Party (COP) for the Chemonics-implemented USAID Building Regional Economic Bridges project. He has ample experience working in projects that promote increased trade, strengthen partnerships to advance technology transfer and know-how, enhance workforce development and opportunities, and increase access to finance. He has served as COP for seven USAID project across Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Russia. Previously, Dan worked in investment banking in Europe, Eastern Europe, and the U.S. raising capital for early-stage companies and leading mergers and acquisitions and as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer with USAID in Latin America, Pakistan, and Russia. He also served as a senior U.S. trade negotiator for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. He holds a master’s degree in international economics and Latin America from the Johns Hopkins School of Advance International Studies, as well as a master’s in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
