Former Chief of Party Matt Weber

Matt Weber is an economic and agricultural development expert with more than 14 years of experience managing and implementing USAID-funded agriculture projects in post-conflict Islamic countries, including seven years in Afghanistan. He previously served as the chief of party on the USAID Regional Agricultural Development Program – South in Afghanistan, a five-year agricultural development program. His expertise includes agricultural development, value chain development and finance. Since joining Chemonics in 2005, Mr. Weber has held key positions in several economic and agriculture development programs, such as the USAID Financial Access for Investment in the Development of Afghanistan (FAIDA) project, the Helmand Poultry Project (HPP), and the Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Project (PSCEP). Mr. Weber holds an M.A. in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a B.A. in philosophy and East Asian studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
