Vice President, Corporate Development Joshua Leland
Joshua Leland is a development professional with more than two decades of progressive experience managing teams and driving growth. His expertise spans strategic leadership, entrepreneurial initiatives, and executive management in both headquarters and overseas roles. As vice president for corporate development, he leads execution of Chemonics’ inorganic growth strategy through strategic partnerships, investment, and acquisition. Formerly, as managing director for Supply Chain Innovation and Growth, he led Chemonics’ preparations for the next generation of USAID’s global health supply chain initiatives. In prior strategic leadership roles, he helped launch and lead Chemonics’ UK business, established and led the company’s Corporate Partnerships Practice, and founded its Blockchain for Development Solutions Lab to combat poverty, improve humanitarian supply chain management, and increase aid effectiveness. For two years, he also led and helped rebuild the company’s portfolio of international development programs in West and Central Africa. He began his career serving in both field and head office positions, providing technical and management support to local economic development and governance programs in Eastern Europe. Josh holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in history from Bates College.
