Fernando Calado
Fernando Calado is a migration, economic inclusion, and human rights expert with over 20 years of experience leading large-scale development programs focused on migrant protection, social and economic integration, and rights across Latin America. A three-time Chief of Party, Calado has directed U.S. government-funded human rights initiatives and served as Director of Programs for IOM Colombia, overseeing multimillion-dollar portfolios supporting migrant and returnee populations. He has led cross-sectoral teams, built strategic partnerships, and advanced inclusive migration policies across Colombia and the Andean region. Calado holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Psychology from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala.
