Chief of Party, USAID Vietnam Action Against Plastic Pollution Activity Fanny Quertamp

Fanny Quertamp currently serves as the chief of party for the USAID Vietnam Action Against Plastic Pollution Activity and leads programming interventions to incentivize reduce, reuse, recycle (3R) behaviors, increase use of improved solid waste management (SWM) models, generate private sector investment and partnerships, and produce a more sustainable framework that bolsters the circular economy. Fanny is a geographer with more than 20 years of experience managing development projects focusing on sustainable urban development and environment in Vietnam. She designed and implemented training programs, provided technical assistance, and conducted studies on sustainable cities (transport, urban planning, land use, and housing, governance, and heritage, climate change) to strengthen local governments capacity. Prior to joining Chemonics, she supported the regional EU Programme, “Rethinking plastics – circular economy solutions to marine litter,” which focused on waste prevention and management, sustainable consumption and production of plastic, and prevention of plastic waste entering into the marine environment. Fanny holds a Ph.D. in geography.
