Deputy Chief of Party Barbara Yale
Barbara Yale is an economic development specialist with more than 15 years of experience with the World Bank and USAID-funded projects in Eastern Europe, West and Central Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. She is currently the deputy chief of party for the Pakistan Small Medium Enterprise Activity. Ms. Yale is an operational expert in project implementation, contract oversight, compliance, and financial management; M&E; grant and subcontract management; and environmental mitigation. She brings technical expertise in areas of private sector development, agriculture and value chain development, community mobilization, small-scale infrastructure, MSME development, and access to finance. Since joining Chemonics in 2009, Ms. Yale has led activities in Azerbaijan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as Georgia. Additionally, she has provided operational support to seven projects in Afghanistan, Ghana, and Tajikistan. She has an international M.B.A from the University of South Carolina.
