Project Management Director, Europe and Eurasia Regional Business Unit Barbara Yale
Barbara Yale is an economic development specialist with more than 15 years of experience with the World Bank and USAID-funded projects in Eastern Europe, West and Central Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. She recently returned to Washington after closing out the Tajikistan Agriculture and Water Activity as chief of party. Ms. Yale is an operational expert in project implementation; contract oversight, compliance, and financial management; M&E; grant and subcontract management; and environmental mitigation. She brings technical expertise in areas of economic and private sector development, including: small- and medium-sized enterprise competitiveness enhancement, access to finance, agriculture/agri-business development, value chain development, gender inclusion, livelihood programs, and small-scale infrastructure. Since joining Chemonics in 2009, Ms. Yale has led activities in Tajikistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as provided operational support to six projects in Afghanistan and Ghana. She has an international M.B.A from the University of South Carolina.
