Chief Information Security Officer Adeeb Mahmood

Adeeb Mahmood has more than a decade of experience working in the areas of IT and cybersecurity risk management across several industries and global organizations. Adeeb is responsible for the Chemonics’ information security program and implementing cybersecurity risk mitigation strategies. Previously, Adeeb led multi-disciplinary teams in advancing business priorities by employing threat-informed methodologies to assess and manage cybersecurity risk. Prior to joining Chemonics, Adeeb held several cybersecurity management roles at Siemens, a global leader in industrial automation. Adeeb began his career in IT assurance and management consulting at several prominent professional services firms. Adeeb is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). Adeeb holds a masters in cybersecurity risk management from Georgetown University and a B.S. in management information systems from the Pennsylvania State University.
