Technical Team Leads | Ramallah, Palestine | 2024

Chemonics International seeks candidates for full-time Technical Team Leads for an upcoming USAID-funded project focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency in Palestine. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. 

We are seeking senior-level technical experts in the following areas: 

  • Utilities Management (Energy) 
  • Power Distribution Systems (Grids) 
  • Clean/Renewable Energy Engineering 
  • Energy Efficiency and Demand-side Management 

Qualifications sought include: 

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or license in a relevant field, master’s preferred;  
  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience of increasing responsibility; 
  • Five (5) years of management/supervisory experience;  
  • Experience implementing energy efficiency measures, managing utilities and power distribution systems, and/or developing renewable energy solutions (solar, wind, etc.); 
  • In-depth knowledge of the Palestinian energy sector, familiarity with the regulatory environment a plus; 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with the private sector, government officials, NGOs/grantees, local media, and other donors in the Middle East and/or North Africa region; 
  • Experience working with USAID preferred; 
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills; 
  • Demonstrated adaptive leadership skills, versatility, and integrity; 
  • Fluency in Arabic is required, professional proficiency in English preferred.
