U.S. Agency for Inter-national Development and other foreign aid donors,

The nation’s lead foreign assistance official, Henrietta H. Fore, called for more sharing of best practices and increased funding in a September 6 speech before 250 members of the Washington D.C. chapter of the Society for International Development (SID), hosted at Chemonics International.
Fore, appointed in May to acting administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development and acting director of U.S. Foreign Assistance, described her vision for a “global development commons” that would foster collaboration and information sharing among all players “acting as equals” in the international development community.
